Where can I buy film in Tbilisi?

Kodak Ektar 100 135mm Color Film 36 Exposures

Tbilisi has a growing and vibrant community of film photographers. We’re fortunate to have several labs and analog film shops throughout the city. If you’re visiting Tbilisi and want to know where you can buy film check out these four locations.

1. Fotografia Limited Edition Prints

Since opening in 2017 Fotografia has quickly become the go to place for film photographers. While most people visit Fotografia for their gallery, which features a stunning collection of local and international photographers, their shop also sells the largest variety of film products in Tbilisi. Fotografia is always well stocked with Kodak, Ilford, Fujifilm, and even Cinestill film.

Fotografia is the only place in Tbilisi that carries professional quality films, including Kodak Portra 160, Kodak Portra 400, and Kodak Portra 800, as well as Ilford Delta Professional 100, Delta 400, and Delta 3200. Film prices here are very low, competing with some of the major film sellers, including BH Photo and Amazon. So be sure to stock up while you can.

Bonus Tip: Fotografia is located just around the corner from Dry Bridge Market. You can usually find street vendors selling a wide variety of old soviet cameras there if you want to add one to your collection.

2. Laboratory 25

Run by Gigi Kharadze, Laboratory 25 has been a staple in Tbilisi’s film photography community for years. Thanks to Gigi’s tireless efforts and passion for film photography. Here you’ll usually find a variety of lower cost film options, including Kodak Color Plus and Fujifilm Superia 200 and Fujfilm Superia 400 in stock. They sometimes have Kodak Cinevision 2 50D as well. Laboratory 25 also has a developing and film scanning service. It’s one of the few places in Tbilisi where you can still process slide film.

3. Fujifilm Meliqishvili

These guys have been around a long time. Unfortunately there film stocks are usually quite limited, but if you’re in the area it’s definitely worth dropping in. You can also get your color film developed here very quickly. They have a facebook page so you can message ahead if need be. Also, they’re right across from Hard Rock Cafe, so they are not difficult to find.

4. Print Everything

If you’re in a hurry you can always pick up a roll of Fujifilm Superia 200 at Print Everything while you’re in Freedom Square. Unfortunately, they don’t keep much else in stock, so if you’d like more options just take a quick walk down the street to Fotografia.
