Guram Tsibakhashvili is one of Georgia’s most important photographers, who has created a vast number of photographic works, ranging from pure documentary photo to conceptual artworks, photography with texts and drawings and media. 
In his conceptual series “Definitions” (1997, 2001, 2010) Guram prints combinations of his own photographs and found images on vintage X-ray paper with additional marks in pencil and explanatory red drawings, that give definitions from dictionaries, as well as his personal and sometimes painful ordinary thoughts.

With “Definitions” Tsibakhashvili creates new language out of the images, symbols and definitions from the dictionaries.
