08.08.08. – Tbilisi
The creation of this photo-project was based on the Georgian-Russian issue. The title indicates the date of the beginning of the war – 8th August, 2008. The series represents the description of the stressful psychological state of the population during that period of time and illustrates inner forms of reaction to the war in different specific spaces – cafés, libraries, supermarkets and etc. These people have different professions and even through such extreme situation they continue their jobs. The helmet is the symbol of their unification, the accent that indicates to the activation of self-defense mechanism. Project is created within the format of contemporary photography and is a response to the existence of excessive documentary material in media during that period of time. The aim of this project was to focus not only the nation in general but to reveal the individuals of the capital.

Shipping

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout. Aramex Express has consistently provided our gallery with a high level of reliability and speedy service for worldwide shipments. Our prints are carefully packaged to ensure their integrity during transit. We insure your package for the value of your print just in case your package is lost or damaged.

Processing: It can take us up to 5 business days to process your package and send your print. This is because the Georgian government often requires us to submit a request to the Ministry of Culture to receive permission to send parcels that may contain cultural artifacts, including our limited edition prints.

Delivery: After placing your order you will receive a tracking number from us to track your print or photography book while it is in transit. Aramex Express usually takes between 5 and 7 business days to reach Western Europe from Georgia, and 6-10 days to reach North America.

You can visit Aramex for more information about their policies. If you have already purchased your print, you can track your package here.

Please note: you may have to pay import taxes depending on the value of your print. Import taxes are not included in the shipping cost as they vary from country to country. If you live in the European Union you can find more information about import taxes on the EU’s consumer website.

Alternative Shipping Methods: In some cases alternative international shipping methods are available which may reduce the cost of sending your parcel, however we have not found these services very reliable. If you would like us to send your print with an alternative less expensive service, such as Georgian Post, we can do so, but we do not recommend it.
